Now that Barachel has finished the $9k in upgrades to the skatepark we need your help. So we have Support Your Local Skatepark shirts for sale. The cost is $20 and with every shirt purchase you receive two free day passes in the skatepark. So thats like buying two day passes and getting a FREE shirt. All of the money raised will go to help keep Barachel open. So tell your parents, friends, grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles to purchase a shirt and keep your local skatepark alive!

PLEASE READ THIS AND HELP US OUT!

Dear Friends,

We have just celebrated our 2nd year anniversary here at Barachel Bike and Skate. Thank you all who attended and thank you to all who have been patrons through these two years. We originally opened Barachel as a store and a repair shop, but because of the great demand from all the kids and parents, we have grown and expanded the test ramps into what has become a regular skate park.

It has been brought to our attention by the City of Winter Garden , that our building is not zoned for recreational activities (like a skate park). To continue doing what we do, we must show the approval of the community and ask permission from the city.

Barachel has been asked to apply for a special acceptance permit to allow an official Skate Park inside the facility. There will be a public hearing at the Winter Garden City Commission Chambers on June 7th, 2010 @ 6:30pm. At this hearing we are to present the support from our community and that Barachel has complied with all city requirements.

Barachel humbly asks for your verbal support at this hearing. If you cannot attend this meeting, just a short letter or email to the City of Winter Garden , suggesting they do what ever they can to keep this outreach going. Below is the City Hall street address and the Mayors email link.

This is one of several sections of test ramps in the Barachel Indoor Skatepark. Sessions are available by the hour or by the day. Here you can try just about anything you can imagine. Complete with a repair station with knowledgeable staff in case something were to go wrong. Also we have rental pads and helmets available if you don't bring your own. So come down and check us out.
